With a laptop breaking and not being able to efficiently type things out on my iPod touch, this went down the drain. After the East coast tour we went on another west coast tour, played awesome fest, and had our last show of the year Oct, 15th. We will see you next year with new releases and touring USA!

Shawn
Smokejumper

22!

Woke up around 10 this morning and it's the 23rd. Heading out to Philly today super stoked to see Jimmy! Playing with The Menzingers and Soul Control! So stoked. Soul Control is definitely one of my favorite bands so it's going to rule. It's 1:07PM and we are heading out soon. Can't wait to get out on the road. Yeah!

UPDATE! HA!

So I apologize for not being able to update this through the first four days of tour. However, I did keep updating in my ipod touch so here it is:

1:21 am June 18th

Take off! First time on a plane and Tacoma looks gorgeous. Just wen through a layer of clouds and then whirring above looked amazing. Banking and tilting and angling up feels awesome. You can feel every nuance as the plane ascends steeper. Every small movement amplified by the pure darkness I see outside if my window. Looking down on Tacoma we saw a whole block of police cars literally surrounding one city block. Definitely wild to see from the birds eye perspective. Just went through more clouds. It looks like moving through extremely thick fog. I can barely see outside now as we move above this layer Some turbulence here and there because of the awful weather out here in the great pacific north west. This is stupendous! It's nearly 1am and everyone is trying to sleep while I am just totally excited. Just got to a point where I can see the stars and horizon now with little pockets of light on the ground. Light pollution looks so beautiful. Haha. It's 2:03am now and I'm looking out the window to the horizon. It looks beautiful! It goes from black at the bottom to red, then orange, then yellow, then green, then from light blue to dark blue until it hits black again into the starry sky. Ah just dropped one of my plugs into the row behind me! That's going to be an awkward ordeal when we land and I have to find it. Sunrise at 3 am from 30,000 feet looks incredible. 5:54 and hovering above Milwaukee descending to land. The ocean looks incredible. Landed with some major bounce and skid throwing my heart in my throat for a second. Found my plug! The nice lady behind me actually picked it up and handed it to me. So the flight we took in to Milwaukee from Seattle was late so we got to Milwaukee late and missed our connecting flight to Baltimore. We are now waiting around till 8:30 to fly in to dc. The guy who is picking us up lived in dc anyway so that works out. We had several little mix ups in Seattle anyway. First they told us we could take our guitars and cymbal bag on board however once we got to the gate to board they had us check them. Super sketchy considering if they got mixed up and didn't make the switch we would have been screwed. Its 7am now a the red eye has it's name for a reason. I'm so tired with red eyes! When we got in to Milwaukee late we had to scramble to get our guitars that got redirected to a later Atlanta to Baltimore flight(then assuming we wanted to fly in to Baltimore at 4:00pm which would make us totally miss our show at the crafty records BBQ in new York) moved to the other loading station for the dc flight. All I have to say is as much as this is annoying I feel for the other band we are touring with(the pillow fights) who had to wait around for 14 hours with flight delays and cancellations and flight re directions. Sucks because they left a day earlier and are getting there at the same time as us today now. K2 on it just now "that's the beauty of traveling". Haha.

We all just ordered breakfast at "chilis too" in this Milwaukee airport. At 8 bucks for 3 eggs, some bad potatoes, and only a choice between wheat or white toast, this is a total rip off. Oh well we would not be able to eat till after noon and were all starving. Bottoms up! So it's 11am now and we just arrive to dc via a supremely uncomfortable flight. We get in to dc and call our van rental place in Baltimore and they tell us they close at noon. We wouldn't get there till 1 so we stressfully are trying to figure this out right now. It's noon and Chris finally found a big enough van for the 9 of us. It's a 12 passenger so not as much roomy luxury as the 15 passenger van we were originally going to get from Baltimore however at least it worked out. Sat at baggage claim for a bit sweating our stuff not showing up but it was pretty much last so good thing even through the plane time mess ups and transfer mess ups, Milwaukee at least did not mess up getting our gear and merch bin transferred a couple of times. Finally on the road at 12:30pm. NYC here we come! Just drove by the pentagon, Jefferson memorial, Washington monument, Capitol building, Smithsonian, and a bunch of other awesome buildings. Colonial era architecture is absolutely incredible! Went over the petomac river and it stirred thoughts if virtually swimming through it in a radiation suit trying circumvent mirelurks with my Chinese assault rifle in hand. hehe. Rollin through the swamps of virginyyyyy. Oodles of traffic. See you in hell airtran for messing up all of our flights.

Austin 3:16!!! It's 3:16pm. We drove through Delaware and are now in new jersey. so far tolls suck! So wild. I've never been to any of these city's/states before so it's all new and awesome to me! WBLS, the balls of new jersey w balls! 5:05 and we are finally almost there. 18 miles to go and we will be scrambling to play!

Leo from the pillowfigts is officially black lady gaga for the whole your. It's 9:30pm now. I feel pretty good about our set tonight. The crafty records house is awesome. We chilled once we got in at 6, played, and now drinking trader joes bohemian lager eating salmon and veggie burgers. This night rules. Saw firefly's for the first time! Hilarity has ensued. The only thing that sucks is mark from the pillow fights has to study to do a final at midnight and has been doing so for a few hours now. Oh well tomorrow will officially start as the pillowfights/smokejumper tour. Party!!!!

Pillow fights drummer "I'm officially a mother fucker". Trevor is officially dream boat -Chris Crusher

6/20

"Dear god, fuck Trevor. Fuck him with your gigantic heavenly cock. Give him godherea! AMEN" -Chris crusher

So this is the officially the start of tour! Pillowfights and smokejumper. Just left city island Bronx and we are headed to Dover new Hampshire. The pillowfigts still have baggage en route to the crafty records house. Sucks but hopefully they will receive monetary compensation for their ridiculous troubles. Crafty Dan is a superb host! He is definitely the go to guy to stay with on the east coast. We are trying our hardest to avoid traffic in New York city so we are heading out north of the city to circumvent the bullshit we had to deal with yesterday. Alright! So here comes the west coast to devastatingly lay waste to the least coast :) jamming out to David Bowie at noon. This rules. "I'm floating in a tin can high above the world. Planet earth is blue and there's nothing I can do"!! Just passed WW headquarters in Connecticut! Haha Chris and I flipped out so hard! They are not open on Sunday so on our way home 'we are stopping for sure! Psyched!! Being roughly 3500 miles from home feels weird. Stoked though! So we're going to be about 5 miles from Maine when we get to Dover. If these kids have bikes I want to propose a bit of a bike ride out there. I apologize for the rambling of these entries! There's just so much to write about! I'm super excited to hang out and play tonight. So far, after all of the airport bullshit, tour has been so awesome. Went to our first mcdonalds travel plaza. So sketch haha. It's a mcdonalds with a travel center to buy shirts of souvenirs, a pastry shop, coffee, sub, and salad shop, a healthy organic wraps and paninis shop, and a pizza and pasta place. Problem is it all looks like it's been sitting there for the last 13 hours. The hot dogs looked like dried donkey dick. so gross. Needless to say I had a banana and a croissant to avoid the food poisoning.

Trevor -
You smell like shit, it's what you get for using chili picante cologne.
Your cologne is interesting. What scent is that? "ranch"

Got to Dover and its been a porch party since. 40's of colt 45 and sweet chill times. All I gotta say is "vagazzle vagina" - chris crusher

Kii just put his arm around me. Gave me the look and said he wanted my murves(fat man curves). This show is aeeosme.

Hangin with so many cool kids! We played a great show tonight. Shotgunning beers have too much fun. Dover new hampshire for the win! "you look retarded" - girl next to me.!

So we all decided to go 10 blocks down the road to go see the jetty boys in Dover. Not a disappointment! Such a good band. Tonight has been more than optimal. Everyone in Dover has treated us so well. Constant good vibes and good times. I can't stress how much everyone has been amazing tonight. It was so good to see Greg(paislypark) for all you nwpunkboard.com kids. (like my plug there?). Go Jetty boys for making a bunk bar come to life. Yeah! However, a big however too, I wish markpillowfights was here but he was a tired one and wanted to hit the hay. I drank him under the table officially tonight which is awesome because now I am tour baby vet! Hahahahha. The jetty boys singer was bummed about not having a tie. Well story has it an awesome kid at the show at slaughter house 5 gave me a Jean luc Picard tie after the show. I just handed it down to the singer of jetty boys tonight although he is a star wars fan (me too. I just love star trek too). Party harder than smokejumper and you would be a fool! D

over! Thank you for having some beautiful girls! Gorgeous. It's only 10:15pm our time. That means party way more right? This is a job. But a job I love more than any other ever. Danny -"my butthole is itchy" Shayla "I've barely pooped since Minneapolis. Danny "did not even know I pooped. It was just a little tiny baby turd. Was totally distracted. I didn't even poop real".

1;31pm on the 21st!

So 3 days in now. We just left Dover new Hampshire and headed out to Brooklyn new York to play with Chinese telephones! So excited! Mark and I snagged up pizza at crowleys corner store before with left. $1.50 a slice and superb! Such good pizza. This life is great :) before we make it in to Brooklyn we have to go to JFK airport because the pillow fights baggage situation finally got figured out. Seriously excited for them because they didn't have their merch or most of their clothes. It was a hectic couple of days dealing with delta airlines. I can officially say that delta and airtran are two airlines no one should ever fly. We both had to deal with so much bullshit. So! On the road. 3:39pm and almost to jfk to pick up the pillow fights baggage. We decided to do some of more tourist junk like go to times square and central park when we get in to NYC. I'm definitely psyched about this! Almost 7 and going through queens! Almost the airport finally. Traffic has been a bit rough. Almost to the show! Danny has a friend that is going to feed us vegan food tonight too!

So it's 2:27am and we are still Able to drink at the bar. At Lu Lus where our new friend fid works. He is putting us up tonight. We are getting free pizza and beer. So good! We met a real Brooklyn gnarly dude named Joey tonight. Guy tried to get us to go to a coke party with him and "fuck bitches in the ass". Said all the coke was on him! Hahaha. So wild. This whole trip has been a total trip. Can't wait to be a tourist in downtown ny tomorrow! This has been all to awesome. Tyler bright, drinking this Stella for you buddy. Rip my friend.

"remember that part in the bible that says Jesus turned water in to Kool aid, kool aid in to break fluid and break fluid in to meth?" --"yeah POD which just meant table of meth".

We got to sleep in! The next place to play is in new Brunswick. Only an hour away?! Slept until 12:30 and then headed out in to Brooklyn to go to food swings which is an awesome vegan fast food joint. I got a Philly steak and cheese, chicken nuggets, and a orange cream shake. I'm absolutely broke right now but having an amazing time.

We did not get to be tourists because we had to head out in a hurry to New Jersey. We are almost to new Brunswick and having the time of our lives. It's seriously amazing. Fid was awesome. His place was comfortable, and he is a great host!

So we are stoopingn new Brunswick at the place we are playing. Just got called fat Jesus from a guy walking across the street, he offered me to smoke a blunt with him, I declined, then he made the suck it two hand motion haha so cool already. It's so warm and a flash torrential rain just happened. First time I've seen something go from okay to being a total flood in only a few minutes. The place we played was awesome! Meat Town USA is a cool basement show place. Seriously sweaty warm though and I was nearly there to hitting my head a bunch during our set. The Pillowfights had such a rad set too! Afterwards we head out to Jimmy's, an awesome sandwich place, and I got the Vegan Indian. It's french bread with cheese, mozzarella sticks, falafal, and a mayo, and hot sauce. It was so good! Like sin in a sandwich. After we headed to Court Tavern which had LIVE BAND karaoke. Almost everyone sang and had a great time to misfits, black sabbath, dead Kennedy's, and a milieu of other awesome bands. Got out to Jay Insults place and we all chilled super hard and fell asleep late in the AM.

Yeah!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://shawnstourblog.blogspot.com/2010/06/update-ha.html' title='UPDATE! I'm sitting around going through some of the covers we do so I can have them down pat for tour. Pretty restless and way psyched to leave. I fly out at 11:59 Friday night and arrive in Baltimore at 8:45AM. After that we pick up The Pillowfights and leave straight to The Bronx N.Y. to play The Crafty Records BBQ at 1PM. Stoked for this especially because Mikey Erg is playing! Next is driving straight to Binghampton N.Y. to play at Fitzies later that night! So stoked to leave. I'll keep you all posted with pictures and updates on Friday.

Shawn

Smokejumper Tour!

So leave for the east coast on Thursday gearing up for tour and insubordination fest!
